Description
Since the introduction of the CORE in spring 2019, there has been a steadily growing community of pilots who no longer want to do without the advantages of this unique remote control system. The simplest programming (even for complex models) and great future potential made an impression on the market shortly after the start of sales.
A highly motivated development team works continuously on extensions and improvements. Customer requests are also constantly taken into account in order to achieve maximum performance. Each transmitter is custom-made and tested in Donauwörth. Thus design, development and production are under one roof - genuinely "Made in Germany".

radio transmission
Two 2.4GHz transmission systems are available to you with the CORE-M-LINK!
On the one hand the M-LINK transmission system and on the other hand the CORE system. When binding the receiver, the customer can therefore choose whether to bind an M-Link receiver or a PowerBox receiver!

M LINK
The CORE-M-LINK has the MULTIPLEX M-LINK 2.4 GHz transmission system that has been tried and tested for many years.
The M-Link system is fully integrated, which means that all M-Link receivers and sensors can be used fully as usual.

CORE 2.4GHz transmission system
The CORE transmitter has a redundant design of the radio link, which is monitored by the receiver. A defect in a transmitter unit can be signaled immediately by the receiver via telemetry. The reliability and interference immunity has already been proven at a number of major events.

power supply
As is typical for PowerBoxes, the power supply of the CORE is redundant. This means that two separate Li-Ion battery units, each with 3400mAh/7.2V, and the entire voltage regulation are installed twice, a feature that currently only the CORE has. This achieves a runtime of approx. 8 hours with full screen brightness and maximum system load.

Fast signal transmission
In M-LINK mode, the CORE works as usual with 16 channels.

telemetry
You can choose from all MSB sensors from the MULTIPLEX sensor range.
Since telemetry is now an integral part of every model and will continue to gain in importance in the coming years, this topic was given priority.

Linux with smartphone character
A modern, powerful Linux industrial PC is built into the CORE. It is operated exclusively via the touchscreen. The methodology and feel is the same as with a smartphone. In conjunction with an intuitive user interface that allows all related settings to be reached quickly, programming a model is done with just a few inputs.
The user interface was fully programmed with the Qt toolkit. This development environment is now the standard in the embedded GUI area and is used by many well-known manufacturers.
The display used is manufactured according to the specifications of PowerBox-Systems and is very easy to read even in full sunlight. A light tap on the surface is sufficient to operate the capacitive touchpad. Smartkeys (shortcut keys) located at the bottom of the screen allow for accelerated access to important functions such as servo monitor and screen lock.
The internal data communication is realized via CAN-BUS. This bus system is predestined for our application and has been used successfully in the automotive and aviation sectors for many decades.
A proof of the fast processing of our system can be found in the servo monitor: The obedience of the display to the executed control movement of the controls is absolutely in real time! The already used OpenGL support of the Linux computer leaves nothing to be desired in terms of graphics, even for the future.

Furnishing
The two sticks, milled from solid material, have 4 ball bearings and scan every control input with 16-bit resolution. These 65535 steps are passed digitally to a high-performance digital signal processor without loss, which then takes over the signal processing. Four other linear encoders - two on the side and two on top - are also equipped with Hall sensors and each have double ball bearings, so that the entire CORE works completely wear-free.
The transmitter is basically fully equipped - except for the stick switches. Each transmitter is individually manufactured in the factory according to customer requirements. Stick switches, safety switches and a whole range of other types of switches can be installed at the factory or retrofitted by the service. The good accessibility of the switches also allows them to be easily replaced by the customer.
Not to be forgotten are the four pushbutton switches on the left and right, next to and below the sticks. These are perfect as encoders for wheel brakes, electric starters or smoke pumps and can be reached without letting go of the joystick.

optics and haptics
When you pick up the CORE, you immediately feel at home: All switches are arranged as you would expect from a high-end system. The pilot is given a professional “tool” that he can use immediately. The removable handles covered with Alcantara not only look classy, they also ensure that your hands feel comfortable at any time of the year. In addition, the center of gravity of the transmitter is perfectly balanced.

highlights
The unique voice output should be mentioned as a special feature. While with other systems you have to create audio files on the PC and then copy them to the transmitter, a licensed TTS (Text to Speech) server from Acapella works in the CORE. The currently most sophisticated TTS system offers a number of different voices for each language, which can be used individually to announce telemetry values or switch positions. If desired, a call to land from the English Queen included!
Furthermore, the CORE has built in Bluetooth and Wifi. In the future, the latter will send telemetry data to a web portal, which can then be conveniently evaluated via a web browser on a smartphone or PC. Model memory and other data from the transmitter are also managed here.
To complete the hardware, a GPS and a 9-axis motion sensor are installed to keep all doors open for future applications.
