MULTIPLEX in social networks / other third-party services
You will also find MULTIPLEX in social online networks offered by other companies on the Internet (e.g. Facebook or Google). You will also find individual functions of these networks integrated into the MULTIPLEX website. You can only use MULTIPLEX in social networks as well as the social network functions in MULTIPLEX if you are also registered and logged in to the respective social network. Therefore, please note that the terms of use and data protection of the respective network provider apply to the use of the social network. We explain how MULTIPLEX processes your personal data in this context in the following text:
a. MULTIPLEX in social networks
We offer MULTIPLEX in the following social networks:
i. Facebook
Facebook is a social network of Facebook Ireland Limited (Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 Ireland). In Facebook we have integrated MULTIPLEX in the form of games, websites (so-called fan pages) and applications (so-called apps).
If you use one of these MULTIPLEX applications on Facebook, Facebook grants us access via a technical interface to your so-called "public information" on Facebook and such information that you make publicly available or share for the respective application. "Public" in the context of Facebook means that anyone outside of Facebook can see this data. This includes your name, profile and cover picture, gender, networks, username (Facebook URL) and user ID (Facebook ID). In order to make individual MULTIPLEX applications more user-friendly and so that you can also use your personal network within a MULTIPLEX application, they also use the user ID numbers of your friends (or your friends list). Facebook explains here which data Facebook makes available in detail to services within Facebook: www.facebook.com/about/privacy/your-info-on-other.
In accordance with Facebook's privacy policy, Facebook decides which data is always publicly accessible and which you can make individually accessible with the help of your privacy settings. Read more about the details at Facebook: www.facebook.com/about/privacy/your-info.
If you decide to use a MULTIPLEX application, you will find out whether MULTIPLEX needs further information from your Facebook profile and, if so, which. There, Facebook will tell you the categories of data to which MULTIPLEX-Application has access.
No matter which MULTIPLEX application you use on Facebook; in any case, we will only use the data accessible to us for the purpose of offering you the respective service. If we want to use your data beyond this, we will only do so to the extent permitted by law or with your consent.
If you no longer wish to use a MULTIPLEX application on Facebook, you can make this clear through the respective settings on Facebook, e.g. cancel the connection between your profile and the application. We will then no longer have access to your general information and will delete it if you inform us of this.
ii. Google+
MULTIPLEX can also be found on the social network Google+, which is operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. MULTIPLEX is integrated there in the form of games, websites (so-called Google+ pages) and applications (so-called applications).
You can individually set which data from your Google+ profile MULTIPLEX can see in your privacy settings: www.google.com/settings/privacy In particular, you can decide in which circle you would like to add MULTIPLEX. For details, please refer to Google's privacy information: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
iii. Twitter
MULTIPLEX also has a number of Twitter accounts. Twitter is a microblogging service provided by the American company Twitter, Inc. (795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107).
If you actively use Twitter yourself and publish a tweet, we can also see it if you have made it available to everyone or if we follow you via Twitter. Likewise, we can see your details on Twitter if MULTIPLEX follow your tweets. For details of Twitter's data processing and visibility settings, please refer to Twitter's privacy policy: twitter.com/privacy
b. Social plug-ins
Within MULTIPLEX you may also find so-called "social plug-ins". These are functions of the respective social network that you can use, for example, to share MULTIPLEX content with your friends in the social networks or to recommend this content to others. We use social plug-ins from the following providers:
i. Facebook
Facebook is a social network of Facebook Ireland Limited (Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 Ireland). We have integrated various functions from Facebook into MULTIPLEX (e.g. "Like", "Share") in order to make the use of MULTIPLEX even more user-friendly. Facebook functions are marked with the Facebook logo. Depending on the type of function, further details may be added (e.g. "Like", "Recommend").
With the Like button, you can tell your Facebook friends and Facebook users what you think, which articles they like/recommend. If you as a Facebook user have added the Recommendations Bar to your Facebook applications, you automatically publish your reading activity on Facebook in your Newsfeed and Timeline/Chronicle as soon as the Recommendations Bar opens in MULTIPLEX. On Facebook, the people to whom you gave the rights to do so when you installed the application will then find out which article you are currently reading on our site or which content you are using on MULTIPLEX. You can remove the individual entries as well as the application itself on Facebook at any time.
If you use MULTIPLEX content that contains a Facebook button, your browser or the application establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers and loads the button for the respective function from there. In doing so, the information is transmitted to Facebook that the corresponding MULTIPLEX website has been accessed or that a certain MULTIPLEX function has been used.
If you actively use a Facebook function yourself, e.g. click on the Like button, it is possible that Facebook processes further data. For example, Facebook may set a cookie that allows Facebook to recognise that you have already clicked on the button on other Internet pages that also have Facebook buttons embedded.
If you are logged in to Facebook as a Facebook user at the same time, it is also possible to associate a page view with your profile on Facebook. If you click on integrated Facebook buttons and then log in to Facebook (or are already logged in), the "liked" or "recommended" information, for example, can be published in short form on Facebook in your profile and your chronicle/timeline. Facebook may thus collect and store further usage data. This can result in Facebook user profiles that go beyond what you yourself disclose on Facebook.
At no time does MULTIPLEX find out which Facebook buttons you have used and when, but only receives summarised, non-personal statistics from Facebook about the use of MULTIPLEX's fan pages on Facebook and summarised statistics about the use of Facebook buttons in relation to MULTIPLEX.
You can find out which data Facebook collects in detail for its own purposes in Facebook's data protection declaration; there you will also find further information on data collection and processing by Facebook and on your rights in relation to this. The Facebook data protection declaration can be accessed at www.facebook.com/policy.php, the information from Facebook on so-called social plugins at on.fb.me/mAN33b.
ii. Twitter
Twitter is a microblogging service of the American company Twitter, Inc. (795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107). When you use MULTIPLEX, e.g. when you call up one of our web pages that contains a Twitter button, your browser also establishes a direct connection with Twitter's servers and loads the button from there. This transmits the information to Twitter that MULTIPLEX has been called up. Even if you are not logged in, Twitter may collect and store usage data.
If you click on the Twitter buttons on MULTIPLEX and "tweet" information via the Twitter window that opens, you transmit the tweeted information to Twitter. This information is then published in your Twitter user profile.
For further information on data collection, evaluation and processing of your data by Twitter as well as your related rights, please refer to Twitter's privacy policy, which is available at twitter.com/privacy.
iii. Google+
A Google+ button of the social network "Google+" is integrated in several MULTIPLEX contents. This social network is operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The Google+ button is recognisable by the "+1?" sign.
When you use MULTIPLEX, e.g. when you call up one of our web pages that contains a Google+ button, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Google servers and loads the button from there. This transmits the information to Google Inc. that the corresponding page on MULTIPLEX has been called up.
The content of the "+1" button is transmitted by Google directly to your browser and integrated by it into the website. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that Google collects with the button. According to Google, no personal data is collected without a click on the button. Data, including the IP address, is only collected and processed for logged-in members of the Google+ social network.
If you are a Google+ member and do not want Google to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of Google+ before visiting our website.
MULTIPLEX will not know at any time whether and when you have used the Google+ button, but will only receive aggregated, non-personal statistics from Google about the use of the Google+ button.
You can find out which data Google collects in detail for its own purposes and information about the further processing and use of the data in Google's data protection declaration at www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html.
For technical reasons, it is not possible to post in the MULTIPLEX online forum if you do not accept cookies on your computer.
In the event of your revocation of the collection and storage and processing of your data, MULTIPLEX will no longer be able to provide certain services such as delivery of the newsletter or participation in competitions.
Multiplex Modellsport GmbH & Co.KG is entitled to collect, process (e.g. modify, store for further processing, combine with other data sets and archive) and use personal data as well as profile data and demographic data for the following purposes after voluntary, explicit consent by the user:

It is also possible to maintain the user agreement and only revoke the consent to the further use of the data for the future.

§ 5 Right to information
You can obtain information about the data we have stored about you at any time. If required, please write to Multiplex Modellsport GmbH & Co.KG, Westliche Gewerbestr. 1, 75015 Bretten or send a fax to 07252 58093-99.§ 6 Use of cookies
