Description
Powerful high-performance servo of the 30 mm class

The MULTIPLEX servo RHINO pro SHV digi 4 is a 29 mm digital servo for use in large models. The new pro SHV servo is stronger, faster and more durable than our RHINO digi 4, which has been tried and tested a thousand times over. Stronger thanks to more torque, faster response time and more durable thanks to the new triple ball-bearing, high-strength steel gear. The operating voltage range has been expanded to 8.4V for direct operation of the servo with up to 2-cell LiPo batteries.
Especially when used in 1:5 cars, very high demands are placed on the servos. The RHINO servo has been the standard for years thanks to the generously dimensioned, extremely robust metal gear with 8 mm output for the servo arm. The integrated aluminum heat sink ensures effective cooling of the motor and electronics. The servo housing is protected against dust and splash water by sealing rings.
Due to the enormous actuating power and robustness, this servo is ideally suited for large models (e.g. large aircraft models F3A-XXL) as well as for special applications.

The following parameters can be set using the test and programming device MULTImate # 8 2094:
• Direction of servo rotation
• Servo speed
• Servo travel left, right (max. 2 x 90°)
• Servo center
• Servo dead zone
• Fail-Safe (On with Servo Fail-Safe Position / Off)
• Factory reset

High-Voltage (HV) servos
HV servos have a wide operating voltage range of 5 - 8.4 V. They can therefore be operated directly with 2-cell lithium-based batteries (e.g. LiPo, LiFe, LiIo). LiXX batteries impress with a higher energy density and lower self-discharge than NiXX batteries, which is why they are increasingly being used to power RC systems in models. Due to the higher voltage level of LiXX batteries, lower currents flow with the same servo performance compared to conventional servos, which are usually designed for a nominal voltage of 4.8 - 6V. These must therefore be operated with an additional voltage reduction when using 2S LiXX batteries. This reduces the overall efficiency of the system, leads to unnecessary power loss, requires additional electronics and more plug connections (higher costs, greater risk of failure, more weight).
Modern receivers (e.g. M-LINK) are designed for voltages of up to 9 V, so with HV servos there is nothing standing in the way of direct use of the modern, superior LiXX battery technology.
